We the undersigned resident of Ronald Ngala Rd, of Jomo Kenyatta Ave who live nearby the Millenium Bar & Restaurant (Saba Saba) Mombasa named joint, have been experiencing very stressful and difficult moment as the the result of the Millenium Bar & Restaurant (Saba Saba) Mombasa named joint operating their business in the area.
The constantly play extremely loud music especially in the night when people are retiring for a much needed rest due to the hassles of earning a livelihood. This greatly affect and deprives rest of the people in the surrounding neighborhood, especially the children, elderly and the sick.
As a result of the this facility being located in the vicinity, so much vice crept into the area, prostitution, reckless alcohol consumption and petty theft. The residents around are now reaching point where they avoid to step out of their houses once dark reach.
Basis above the rights of the citizens living in the area is being infringed upon, and we request the authority to take action to check their transgressions, as several complaints have been taken to the owners of the place but only arrogance and disdain was shown in return.
This complaint has already been submitted to National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Mombasa on the 21st January 2015 but no action has been taken until this moment. In addition, the resident took a step forward by raising the issue to the Chief of Majengo Mombasa and his assistant but he never took any action. Could there be anything else?
